According to modern surgery, hernioplasty, Hernioctomy are all O.T. procedures and all are scientific methods no doubt. Otherwise obstruction, life-threatening conditions occurred. When, there is Hernia, it, never cant be treated without surgical procedure though it is minimum also. Hernioplasty is the important line of treatment in case of Hernia. Leech- Hirudo-medicinalis is one of the main Para-surgical sharp instrument. Leech plays an important role in plastic-surgery. It is proved today.

With the help of leech, we can do Hernio-plasty by close-method surgery with tiny-cosmetic- inverted Y shaped sterile incision In a case of direct-Hernia; if, the patient is of old-age or child or medically not fit for regular surgery; O.P.D level; and for it; no need of Anesthesia or Operation theater also. By taking minimum inverted Y shaped cosmetic incision with the help of Hirudo-medicinalis, we can do hernioplasty with the help of Leech only.

Prevention is better than cure. This is main aim and object of Ayurved. Sushrut, God-father of surgery, mentioned scientifically in detail- Hernia as Vriddhi. He said complete and indirect hernia is incurable. He also said some line of treatment as Aagni-Karma or Therapeutic burn. He also said; Leech-therapy in case of one of the type of Hernia i.e. Heamatocoel; or Rakatja-Vriddhi. If, we treat, Hernia before birth; it is the best treatment, because Hernia is surgical-disorder and if untreated there may be chances of complications. We can do Leech-surgery as a preventive measure and we can prevent Hernia by birth at most common occurring stage of Hernia.
