is the basic & prime line of treatment of all surgical disorders

Leech
& Siravedha are bifocals ; ways of blood-letting. There are
some similarities & some specialties of both. |
A.
Leech =1.Leech means only Hirudo-medicinalis or non-toxic
leech ;that is Kapila; pingala ;etc. Leech is a slimy & live
Para-surgical sharp instrument.Leech is the local way of blood-letting
. |

Leech is mainly a ‘pittaghana’. |

Consistency of leech is up to nearly about 60 cms.
Means skin &muscular level of the organ . |

It is not true that leech sucks only impure blood like
a myth about swan ; never told by god-father of surgery an authentic
surgeon –sushrut .Leech have a sucking capacity is up to only
capillaries or venous circulation and Vagbhat said so many years ago
that ‘agre sravati dushatsram ‘ Leech have no knowledge
what is vein & what is artery.So ;surgeon must know site of leech
application .Otherwise there must be a complication . |

of blood .It is improper quantityof ‘bloodletting ‘. Sometimes
;leech can suck more than capacity because leech is live .So ;to avoid
complications ; surgeon must know when ;where ;how ; leech application

; 3 types of surgery can be done with the help of leech ; namely –incision
